Shifting lines, Slient peaks

Rethinking borders under the shadow of Himalayas Focusing on the conflict between national boundaries and fluid natural boundaries around the Himalayas, this project explores the existence of ambivalent boundaries between China and India.

Not Exactly What I Had In Mind, So I Created My Own
-An Inquiry Into A Perfect Graphic Design Course

Drawing from existing design education publications, theories, examples of design education programmes, and the voices of design educators, this project attempts to restore the reality of design education in the contemporary context in a satirical way for graphic design students, while offering new approaches to design education.

The publication serve as a reader using republishing text from graphic design educators. While the republishing text could be read with the review to help audiences to understand the key ideas conveyed in the text. After stating the issues from the text, the publication provides a speculative solution with a “perfect graphic design course” in a ironic way.

Editorial design and art direction for an academic research project of the artist Karema Munassar. 

This publication is an archival collection of dialogues and poems about the moon collected by the artist from participants in more than thirty locations around the world, as well as the artist‘s own interactions with the moon.

Sunroof is a visual travelogue. The palm-sized book provides a sense of laziness as daylight passes through the sunroof. It is a documentary of a period of time in which one is free to roam.

MIST
-An EP by Crawling Fish


MIST is a sound art, album art project. A speculative sound art EP about London in the year of 2074. There is imagined disparity between rich and poor, skewed resources, one part of the human race living in a bubble of fantasy, and the other part of the human race crawling through the in need of redemption.

4’33” Shanghai

Drawing inspiration from John Cage’s 4’33”, which emphasizes listening to overlooked sounds in silence, I use this project to highlight the suppressed voices of Shanghai during COVID-19.

The album include a 7 inch vinyl and a booklet. The booklet is M-fold and can be teared to show the hidden spreads. Back cover of the dust jacket can be starched off to show the hidden information. Installation is made by pieces of shredded music scores.

A Crumb In The City

This publication aims to challenge human's perceptions of pigeons as a harmful animal, an environmental nuisance, and a disruptor of order. Humans do not recognize this citizenship of pigeons and wanting to banish them from the daily functioning of the city. The publication intend to explore pigeons is just like human through personification storytelling in print media practice.

Empathic Trees

This project challenges anthropocentrism by presenting trees as equals to humans, exploring their emotional connections, coexistence in public spaces, and anthropomorphic interpretations to deepen the human-tree relationship.

If There Are No Flowers In The Garden


An odyssey through a fantastical garden teeming with illusions and nightmares. Through the journey, themes of resilience and self-discovery emerge, urging readers to confront their own shadows and find courage in the face of adversity. Blending fantasy with introspection, the narrative unveils the transformative power of forgiveness and the beauty that blooms when one dares to plant seeds of hope in the darkest of places.
